Equipped and experienced for natural light and off-camera lighting Arizona family photographer. Whichever photography style is preferred I always have off-camera lighting and reflectors to compensate and modify any natural light issue that may be present during a photography session.
Two most popular outdoor natural light times are “the golden hour”—a period shortly after sunrise and shortly before sunset noted for its warm light.
Sunlight changes color over the course of the day. The soft light of dawn and dusk is dominated by oranges and yellows. This stands in contrast to middle-of-the-day photography, where the direct sun can provide overly harsh light on an object or a subject’s face. Midday sun contains more blue light. Sun shining through a layer of clouds on a hot day produces a particularly blue light and may be too harsh for many applications.
The six photographs at left were photographed during sunset with off-camera lighting. I was able to balance the bright and shaded parts of the scene with off-camera lighting while retaining the warm tones of sunset.

The photographs in this section were photographed during middle-of-the-day using a reflector to block the harsh mid day sun on the subjects and off camera lighting to balance the shaded (bright mid day harsh sunlight filtered through reflector) and bright areas of the scene
